Opalstone is famous for its milky light colored greens and smooth texture. It is a favorite of carvers because of its versatility and spiritual properties - a stone of inspiration, imagination and creativity.
In the Shona language Zimbabwe means "House of Stone" dividing the country is the longest linear mineralogical mass in the world, laced with hundreds of different colored stones including verdite, butter jade, opalstone, cobalt and springstone.
