Tony Pridham, Austrailia

 Always looking for new challenges, Tony is one of the founding members of AAAP (Animal Artist Against Poaching). As such much of his time is now spent either in Africa or his studio in South Eastern Australia. His first-hand experience with the poaching problem has focused his talents on a more meaningful approach to his art! Much of his output is now focused on Africans mammals

As an artist, his beliefs are very much entwined in the theology behind the New Realism movement. And that something beautiful, painted beautifully, is a justification in itself! and from this ideal, paintings can inspire and bring a sense of wonder to the viewer! A keen naturalist, Tony travels widely, searching for new ideas and challenges! Tony's art has been published in a number of science based natural history books. Most notably the Whitley award winning Grassfinches in Australia. Always looking for new challenges, Tony is one of the founding members of AAAP (Animal Artist Against Poaching). Much of his output is now focused on Africans mammals Born in Melbourne Australia (1964). Tony Pridham is realist artist specializing in Natural History subjects. Tony is the youngest ever winner of the Wildlife Art Society of Australasia. In more recent years he has taken out Best New Artist at the Society Of Wildlife Artist in London. A Signature member of The Society of Animal Artists, he has twice been awarded the Award of Excellence, their highest honor. Pridham’s bird paintings have hung in the prestigious Birds In Art exhibition no less than 5 times. Tony's horse paintings have twice been runner up in The Inglis Equine Art Prize, the richest prize in the world for Equine Art.   The artist work has appeared in all the major Auction houses including Christies, Bonhams and Sotheby’s. Major museums with original Tony Pridhams include The Leigh Yawkey Woodson, Hiram Blauvelt and Bennington Museums. Columbine Gallery home of the National Sculptors' Guild Specializing in Significant Public Art since 1992. Columbine is the Colorado State flower and symbol for Spirit. Our Loveland location of Columbine Art Gallery and the National Sculptors' Guild has quickly become the largest original fine art source in Colorado located across the street from Sculpture in the Park events at Benson Park, we feature artwork by 50 represented artists year round, ship worldwide.
